This was crazy fun to make, and exactly what I needed to clear my art block! I've been wanting to join in on one of Clint's render challenges for a while now, and somehow MISSED the announcement of this one by two weeks! I only had about 3 days to work on this from start to finish, so it's a good thing I didn't have work on any of those days :)
I also recently got an RTX 3090 and am glad to put it to good use here. This was rendered with 550 samples in about 3 hours, in a scene that would have taken 12+ hours on any of my other computers! Super happy to be working with such a powerful machine, and so glad I could get this project done to my expectations. I was really scared I'd miss the deadline and have to just settle for uploading it after, but I BARELY made it. I know I probably won't make the top 100, especially with the abundance of other Portal-themed renders out there, but hey, at least I can share this myself as well. I wish luck to everyone else who participated in the challenge, and I can't wait to see everyone's submissions all stitched together!
